Apartment to rent in Bulgaria

I am pleased to be able to offer my apartment in Bulgaria for holiday lets.

It is a very spacious modern one bedroom apartment in the mountain resort of Bansko and is suitable for skiers as well as summer visitors. I charge from a very modest £110 for a weeks rental for the apartment and this includes heating.

The apartment is fully furnished and comprises bedroom, combined living room/kitchen area, and bathroom. For pictures of the apartment click here

The bedroom has twin single beds with bedside tables, drawers and a wardrobe. The beds are provided with pillows and blankets and all bed linen is included with your rental.

The bedroom leads into the bathroom where there is toilet, bidet and shower.

In the living room there is a dining table and four chairs, a sofa, cable TV with DVD player and a log burning stove. The sofa converts into a double bed, making the apartment suitable for two to four people.

The kitchen area has a fridge, a four ring electric hob, oven, microwave oven, dishwasher, and enough cutlery and crockery for four people.

Resort Management : The apartment is available for lets all year round. Bansko has two main seasons - the winter ski season lasts from December through April and the summer season attracts tourists who come to hike in the mountains and visit Bansko's summer festivals of folk music and jazz. Customer lettings are managed for me by British firm Alexander Services who have offices in Bansko. They will welcome you to the apartment, hand you the keys, ensure the apartment is clean on your arrival, supply clean linen and generally be on hand to deal with any problems that might arise during your stay. Check in is from 3pm on day of arrival, and check out at 10am on day of departure.

Prices : £200 per week for Christmas, New Year and Easter weeks, all other dates are £110 per week.

Location : The apartment is on the ground floor of the Monastery complex in Bansko. This is a prestigious new development completed in 2004 and occupies a prime location in the resort being only 200m from the primary Bansko ski lift. The eye catching design of this complex is based on the famous 10th century monastery at Rila.

Bansko is fast emerging as the premier Bulgarian ski resort, but is also becoming increasingly popular as a summer mountain destination with a range of organized mountain biking trails and activities throughout the valley and mountains along with the extensive hiking trails through the Pirin and Rila ranges. Visitors also come for the summer music festivals such as the Pirin Pee and the Bansko International Jazz Festival which is scheduled for August 8th - August 13th in 2010. The charm and atmosphere of the village complement the stunning scenery of the Pirin mountain range which is a designated UNESCO World Heritage Site

Transfers from airport : Bansko is around three hours by road from Sophia airport. If you prefer to travel independantly, there is a choice of car hire firms operating out of Sophia airport. Alternatively I can arrange transfers for you from airport to accommodation and the cost of this service starts from 35 Euros per person return depending on the season and number of passengers. I can also arrange transfers from Plovdiv, Thessaloniki, Kavala and Skopje, please just ask for a quote.

If you prefer to take the bus, I am given to understand there is a bus service from Ovcha Kupel avtogara bus station in Sofia to Bansko, with 8 departures per day. This bus station is on Tsar Boris III Boulevard, a short taxi ride from the airport.
